administracyjnych. Jednak nadrzędnym walorem w przypadku pielę-
gniarek lub ratowników medycznych jest wsparcie informacyjne, któ-
re może wpłynąć na zdrowie lub życie każdego pacjenta.
Personel administracyjny może traktować ten system jako
znaczące udogodnienie i pomoc w codziennych powtarzalnych
procedurach.
Jedynym niekorzystnym i często poruszanym aspektem EHR są
wydatki początkowe. W dużym stopniu przyczyniają się one do spo-
wolnienia wdrożeń, na równi z brakiem infrastruktury informatycznej.
Problem ten zostaje stopniowo rozwiązywany, ponieważ w latach
2002-2011 koszty wdrożeń spadły o 50%, co przyczyniło się do skróce-
nia czasu spłaty wstępnej implementacji. Jeśli przyjmiemy w kolejnych
latach trend spadkowy, może okazać się, że jedynymproblemembędzie
słabo rozwinięta infrastruktura informatyczna.
Gdy dodamy do tego znaczące roczne oszczędności dla każdej
większej placówki (kilka milionów jednostek monetarnych), okazuje
się, że EHR ma więcej zalet niż wad. Przemawiają one za celowością
wdrożenia i wykorzystania na rzecz poprawy zdrowia społeczeństw.
